What Our Client Says
This company, Transkibo Travels Ltd., comes highly recommended from me. Organizing with the agency's administrative personnel was a breeze because they were responsive, timely, and attentive. Our itinerary was well-recommended by them. Our five- or six-day safari vacation exceeded our wildest dreams. Our guide was really professional, courteous.
We booked Kilimanjaro and Safari with Trans Kibo. A few months ago I started contacting Trans Kibo and other trekking agencies. Thomas is very patient at my emails and all replies are instant. Guides they arranged for climb are professional and helpful. All 5 of us summit. After climb Abraham came to hotel to book safari for us. It was great!
We did a two day trip at Tarangire and Ngorongoro. It was amazing! Our tour guide was really good and easygoing, he knew many interesting things, you can tell he loves his job. He made good preparations so we could go into the park with no long wait, which we really appreciated. The food was awesome too. It was a great adventure with good people.
Trans-Kibo organised a fantastic 5 day climb up Mount Kilimanjaro - everything was planned perfectly - the guides - Aron and Alex - were absolutely fantastic and worked so hard to make sure all 3 of us made it to the top. Our chef Filipo was just awesome as well - delicious food! Thomas, Abraham and the guys in the office were really helpful and answered..

Tanzania Most Popular FAQs
1. Is Tanzania safe for tourists?
Yes, Tanzania is considered one of the safest travel destinations in Africa. Most popular tourist areas—such as Arusha, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Zanzibar—are well-patrolled and welcoming to visitors. Travel operators ensure secure transportation, professional guides, and reliable accommodations. As with any international trip, basic precautions are recommended, such as keeping valuables safe and following local advice. With responsible planning, Tanzania offers a safe, friendly, and unforgettable experience for all travelers.
2. When is the best time to visit Tanzania?
The best time to visit Tanzania depends on your interests. For wildlife safaris, the dry season from June to October offers excellent game viewing, clear skies, and the iconic Great Migration river crossings. The green season, from November to March, provides lush scenery, fewer crowds, and fantastic birdwatching opportunities. Beach lovers can enjoy Zanzibar year-round. Whether you seek wildlife, culture, or relaxation, Tanzania has something magical in every season.
3. Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?
Most international travelers require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can obtain one easily online through the official e-visa portal or on arrival at major airports such as Kilimanjaro International Airport and Julius Nyerere International Airport. The process is straightforward, typically requiring a passport valid for at least six months, a photo, and travel details. Single-entry tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days. Always check updated requirements before traveling.
4. What is the Great Migration?
The Great Migration is one of nature’s most spectacular wildlife events, where over two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the Serengeti–Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. The journey involves dramatic river crossings, predator encounters, and constant movement shaped by rainfall patterns. The migration happens year-round, rotating through different Serengeti regions. It offers travelers unforgettable scenes of raw nature, from calving season in the south to thrilling river crossings in the north.
5. When is the best time to go on safari in Tanzania?
The best time for a Tanzania safari depends on what you want to experience. June to October is the peak season with excellent wildlife viewing, dry weather, and the famous Great Migration river crossings. November to March offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and great birdwatching. April and May are rainy but ideal for budget travelers seeking quieter parks. Overall, Tanzania offers year-round safari opportunities, each season offering something unique and unforgettable.
6. How safe are safaris in Tanzania?
Tanzania safaris are generally very safe when booked with a reputable tour operator. Professional guides are highly trained in wildlife behavior, park regulations, and emergency procedures, ensuring your safety throughout the journey. Vehicles are well-maintained and designed for off-road environments. Camps and lodges also follow strict safety protocols to protect guests from wildlife encounters. As long as travelers follow guide instructions, stay inside the vehicle during game drives, and keep a respectful distance from animals, safaris are secure and enjoyable.
7. What should I pack for a Tanzania safari?
Packing for a Tanzania safari requires comfort, practicality, and preparation. Bring lightweight, neutral-colored clothing to blend with the environment, along with a warm jacket for chilly mornings and evenings. Comfortable closed shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are essential. Don’t forget insect repellent, personal medication, and a refillable water bottle. A good camera or binoculars enhances your experience. Soft-sided luggage is recommended for easy transport. Packing smart ensures a smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free safari adventure in Tanzania.
