Overview of the 5 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro
The 6-Day Rongai Route is the only trail that approaches Kilimanjaro from the northern side, near the Kenyan border. It is one of the quietest and least crowded routes, offering a peaceful wilderness experience with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities in the early stages. The ascent is gradual, making it suitable for climbers seeking a calmer and steady climb. The route features open landscapes, beautiful views toward Kenya, and a rewarding summit approach via the eastern crater rim. Descent is made along the popular Marangu Route, giving trekkers the chance to experience both sides of the mountain.
