Overview of the 5 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro
The 5 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro is the shortest and most direct path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” it is the only route that offers hut accommodations instead of tents. The trail passes through lush rainforest, heather and moorland, and alpine desert before the final climb to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m. Although the route is considered less physically demanding, the shorter itinerary offers less time for acclimatization, so climbers must be well-prepared. The descent follows the same path back to Marangu Gate, making this one of the most classic and popular Kilimanjaro experiences.
