2-Day Safari to Tarangire & Ngorongoro
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Morning Drive: After departing from your respective starting point, you will head toward Tarangire National Park. The drive to the park offers scenic views of rural Tanzania, and you will arrive just in time for a full day of game viewing. Game Drive in Tarangire: Once in the park, you will embark on an exciting game drive. Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant population and majestic baobab trees, which dominate the landscape. The park also plays a crucial role in the annual migratory cycle of several species, including: 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, 30,000 zebras. With its variety of wildlife, the game drive will be an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, surrounded by the beauty of the Tanzanian wilderness. Evening: After an exciting day of exploring, you’ll retire for the night at your chosen accommodation. You can choose between a campsite or a lodge, where you’ll enjoy dinner and get some rest.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Moshi
Morning Descent into Ngorongoro Crater: After an early breakfast, you will leave for Ngorongoro Crater. This massive volcanic caldera is a World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Tanzania to spot wildlife. You will descend more than 600 meters into the crater for a full morning of game viewing. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is supported by year-round water and grazing, allowing it to sustain a vast variety of wildlife. While exploring the crater, you may see: Herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, and elands, Warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants, Predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and, if you’re lucky, the elusive leopard; Visit Lake Magadi: A key feature of the crater is Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern part of the crater. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe large flocks of flamingos, as well as hippos and various species of water birds. Return to Moshi: After a rewarding morning, you will begin your journey back to Moshi. The drive will take approximately 3-4 hours, and you’ll arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
